Ben Schnetzer Joins Y: THE LAST MAN on FX

Variety reports that Broadway actor Ben Schnetzer will join the cast of 'Y: The Last Man' on FX. The actor, who made his Broadway debut in 'The Nap,' will play Yorick Brown.

HBO From acclaimed writer and director Derek Cianfrance (“Blue Valentine,” “The Place Beyond the Pines”) comes I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE, a six-part limited drama series debuting this April, starring Mark Ruffalo (Emmy® winner for HBO's “The Normal Heart”), who also serves as an executive producer, as identical twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey in a family saga that follows their parallel lives in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness. The series shows Dominick and Thomas at different stages in their lives, beginning in their present with both brothers approaching middle-age, filled in with Dominick's flashbacks to their young adulthood.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 23a?"February 2, 2020. The Sundance Film Festival is Sundance Institute's flagship public program, widely regarded as the largest American independent film festival and attended by more than 120,000 people and 1,300 accredited press, and powered by more than 2,000 volunteers last year.

Following a critically acclaimed sell out run at Kiln Theatre, Michael Longhurst's production of Florian Zeller's The Son, in a translation by Christopher Hampton, transfers to the West End. The production opened at the Duke of York's Theatre on 2 September, with previews from 24 August, and runs until 2 November. Amanda Abbington, Laurie Kynaston, John Light and Amaka Okafor reprise their lauded performances for the strictly limited 10 week run. The Son marks the first West End transfer for the Kiln Theatre since it reopened last September, and is presented in the West End by Fiery Angel and Gavin Kalin Productions.

Anna Kendrick has signed on for the sci-fi thriller STOWAWAY, the second film from the duo behind the Cannes Official Selection Arctic. As with Arctic, the film will be directed by Joe Penna and co-written by Penna & Ryan Morrisson. Morrison will also serve as executive producer. XYZ Films will produce alongside Rise Pictures and augenschein Filmproduktion, with XYZ and CAA Media Finance handling financing and sales at the upcoming American Film Market.
