Nodding to the unique holiday circumstances of 2020, the Civic Theatre Guild  will present “It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” set to live-stream into homes Dec. 11-13. 

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the fourth season of its popular and ground-breaking two-time NAACP nominated docu-series “Black Love” will premiere back-to-back episodes on Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The series, which celebrates love stories from the Black community, ranked  #1 in its Friday night time slot across all cable with African American W25-54.

Brand new Bastard Jazz signing Buscrates comes out of the gate swinging with his first release for the label full of the bubbling, electronic funk he's become known for. 'Lost & Found' features the vocal talents of Sally Green over a slappin' bassline, guitar licks and airy synths while 'Cruise Control' goes on an instrumental ride with its heavy drums, catchy g-funk lead and growling bass. Another funky affair from the Pittsburgh producer.

Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest regional performing arts service organizations in North America, has announced the finalists of the 2019 TBA Awards. The sixth-annual TBA Awards Celebration will take place on Monday, Nov. 4 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco).

To highlight and celebrate its twentieth season, Hershey Area Playhouse will host a 20th Anniversary Cabaret Night on Saturday, Jan. 5, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive.

The 1843 Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol is a familiar tale. Each holiday season A Christmas Carol can be found in one of its over 130 adaptations on the screen or on the stage. As the stress of the holiday season grows, it is not unusual to hear someone utter the words made famous by Ebenezer Scrooge-Bah! Humbug! No matter what version of the classic tale we see, however, the story reminds us that the true spirit of the holiday season is one of compassion, kindness, forgiveness, charity, love, and hope. A Christmas Carol opened for the 19th year at Open Stage of Harrisburg on December 1st.

Following the critically acclaimed release of 'Lost West End Vintage' (highlighted in The Sunday Times as an 'Essential New Release') and 'Lost West End Vintage 2', Stage Door Records are pleased to continue the album series with 'Lost West End Revues' to be released on November 30th 2018.

Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present Once Upon a Mattress, a musical comedy with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer, and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer. It's an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea.

The award-winning Falcon's Eye Theatre closes its eleventh season with the American Tribal Love Rock Musical, HAIR. The Falcon's Eye celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory with Gerome Ragni, James Rado and Galt MacDermot's HAIR. To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life," and "Let The Sun Shine." Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, HAIR remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.

Kicking off its 2018 season, Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present The Secret Garden, a musical based off of the 1911 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett with script and lyrics by Marsha Norman and music by Lucy Simon.

Beginning 15 February, Hauser & Wirth will present 'Serialities,' a group exhibition organized with Olivier Renaud-Clement which examines notions of seriality and repetition, and ways in which artists explore linear and non-linear narratives through iterations.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced the sixth and final show of their 2017/18 season "Into the Beautiful North." This world premiere, one of the National New Play Network's rolling world premieres, was written by Karen Zacarias ("The Book Club Play," "Just Like Us") and will be directed by San Diego REP Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse. "Into the Beautiful North" begins on Thursday, March 30, 2017 and plays through Sunday, April 23, 2017 with an opening night on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7 p.m. on the Lyceum Stage Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.
