Musical Broadway classic and hit film Cabaret recreates the decadent and complicated world of 1929 Berlin at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre September 15 – October 22, 2022.

The Town Hall & Mark Cortale continue with the latest installment of the internationally acclaimed concert series Seth Rudetsky's Broadway, hosted and music directed by Sirius/XM Radio star Seth Rudetsky at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

The complete cast and creative team have been announced for the first Broadway revival of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Joining the cast are Nadia Daniel and Jurnee Elizabeth Swan. Rounding out the company are Shirine Babb, Charles Browning, Peter Jay Fernandez, Sharina Martin, Warner Miller, Doron JePaul Mitchell and Kim Sullivan.

Local Theater Company (LTC), a nationally recognized, award-winning theater based in Boulder, Colorado, has announced their Season 12 lineup. Included are multi-hyphenate GerRee Hinshaw's story of self-discovery through the genre-spanning music of Mexican-American artist Linda Ronstadt, Raised on Ronstadt, presented in Boulder, fall 2022.

Tickets for the long-awaited production of Disney’s Frozen will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Frozen will play an exclusive two-week premiere engagement at the Benedum Center beginning Wednesday, October 5, 2022, with performances playing through Sunday, October 16, 2022.

But THREE DECEMBERS, performed this past weekend at the Berkshire Opera Festival at Pavilion Theatre, PS21 in Chatham, New York, was the first time I heard a complete dramatic work by the composer. As characters from FOLLIES by Sondheim--a composer whose music echoes in Heggie’s score--said about showing up at the reunion that frames that musical, “I’m so glad I came.”

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will present a seven-week return engagement of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, the revelatory and award-winning production of one of the world's most beloved musicals. The production, a New York Times Critic's Pick, will play a strictly limited seven-week return engagement from November 13, 2022 to January 1, 2023 Off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Casting has been announced for weeks four and five of The Blank Theatre's 30th Annual Young Playwrights Festival. Being presented as digital shorts, the final three of 12 winning plays by young playwrights aged 15–19 will be available to stream on Vimeo July 22– August 11.

The new episode opens with Charles-Haden Savage (played by Steve Martin) in his kitchen performing “Angel in Flip-Flops,” a song that he recorded back in the ‘90s for his hit TV crime series, Brazzos.
