Phoenix Rock Lottery At Crescent Ballroom To Benefit Rosie's House

Each year, the Phoenix Rock Lottery features a lineup of musicians from diverse backgrounds and musical styles. These musicians deliver a totally unique experience for fans due to the unpredictable nature of the event. The participating musicians show up on the morning of the Rock Lottery each year with no idea who they will be in a band with, what style of music they will play, or what songs they will perform, since the songs will be written that day. 

SAFE SPACE By R. Eric Thomas Begins January 31 At Single Carrot

For the second production of its site-specific Season 12, Single Carrot Theatre is producing Safe Space, by Baltimore playwright R. Eric Thomas. The production will be staged in the basement of historic Clifton Mansion in Clifton Park on St. Lo Drive, and runs January 31 - February 23.

Grammy Winner Luciana Souza Announced At The Soraya's Jazz Club

=The Soraya's intimate onstage Jazz Club welcomes GRAMMY Winner Luciana Souza for two nights performing songs from her critically acclaimed album, The Book of Longing. Inspired by the poetry of Leonard Cohen, Brazilian-American vocal jazz veteran Souza explores the theme of saudade, or yearning, in this work. The story of Aaron Hernandez is one of the most stunning falls from grace in recent history. Once hailed as a hero for the New England Patriots, Hernandez is now viewed as an American tragedy. After beginning a promising NFL career at the young age of 20, Hernandez was thrown into the limelight. But few could ever imagine that a three short years later, he would be on trial, convicted of murder. But as the investigation unfolded and his story unraveled, more unknown factors were brought to the forefront. The public was exposed to the dangerous innerworkings of Hernandez's psyche, seeing the anger, secrets and struggles that simmered beneath the All-American façade.
