The Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM) continues its 2019 season with the Tony and Academy Award winning musical DREAMGIRLS, playing April 12 - 28, 2019,

Epic Theatre Ensemble is excited to announce, Hamilton's very own, Javier Muñoz, will join Sasha Hutchings in Epic's Education Benefit: Epic Duets.

Mark Bramble, the American theatre director, author and producer died on February 20, 2019 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore following complications related to cardiovascular hypertension.  He was 68 years old.  His passing was reported by his long-time business manager and friend, Richard Koenigsberg.

Internationally renowned actor, writer, singer, producer, and director Ray Shell celebrates the 35th anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express with a special live Q&A at Spoonfed New York Country on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Ray premiered the role of 'Rusty the Steam Engine' in the show's original West End production. Directed by Trevor Nunn with choreography by Arlene Phillips, Starlight Express opened March 27, 1984 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London and ran for 7,406 performances. Spoonfed New York Country is owned by Chef Randy Witherspoon, caterer for Hamilton, Wicked, Kinky Boots, among other shows.

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts last night to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 50th season, which launches this summer. Kelley's 50th and final season as Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley includes triumphant returns of TheatreWorks favorites, bold premieres developed at the company's annual New Works Festival, and celebrated works from the nation's leading playwrights.

Could DREAMGIRLS be steppin' to the bad side on Broadway later this season? An Equity Principal Audition for the production will be held next week at Pearl Studios. An audition listing notes the production will be directed by Casey Nicholaw, produced by Sonia Friedman Production and land on Broadway in 2019/20.

The Dramatists Guild Foundation celebrated Tony and Academy Award nominee and Grammy Winner Henry Krieger on Tuesday, December 11, at a salon hosted by Leonard Majzlin.

The head of the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills came to see DREAMGIRLS, produced by Michael Pettenato and directed/choreographed by Tor Campbell at the 180-seat Cupcake Theater in North Hollywood earlier this year, and believed they absolutely could not let the brilliant show end without giving people on the Westside a chance to see it. And who were they to say no? Under Pettenato's care, the group packed up 450 costumes and boxes of wigs, and headed to Beverly Hills for a one-night only show on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Paper Mill Playhouse will present 'Holiday Inn' from November 21 through December 30. This spectacular musical has a book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge; choreography by Denis Jones; direction by Gordon Greenberg; and musical direction by Shawn Gough. Macy Medford and Arden Guice may only be college students, but their performances as Violet and Daisy Hilton, the heroines of Side Show - the iconic musical by Bill Russell, Henry Krieger and Bill Condon that debuted on Broadway some 20 years ago - in Belmont University Musical Theatre's production that runs for just one weekend, are nothing less than a professional triumph for each young woman. Thoroughly committed and startlingly focused, Medford and Guice perform an oftentimes tricky, always challenging, task in order that the two young women effectively become their characters, ensuring the musical packs an emotional wallop delivered straight to the collective heart of its audience, while showcasing the evolution of a musical theatre program at the Nashville university, which over the years has gained a national reputation as the training ground of the next generations of Broadway stars yet to be.

The company of Dreamgirls is entering the holiday season in style with a series of events to celebrate the show's final Christmas at the Savoy Theatre.

If you have never seen SIDE SHOW, you need to make sure that you get out to the PNC Arts Annex this weekend to see this show.  If you are a lover of musical theatre, this is one not to be missed.
