Round House Theatre announces further changes to the 2020-2021 Season in response to the ongoing pandemic. To ensure the safety and health of artists, audiences, students, and staff, Round House will not produce live performances for the remainder of 2020. Until further notice, Round House facilities, including the Bethesda theatre and the Education Center in Silver Spring, will be closed. As previously announced, all 2020 summer camps will be held virtually. At this time, the theatre hopes to return to live performances in early 2021. Round House will continue to create digital programming throughout the fall and winter. More details will be announced in the coming months.
Studio Theatre, in collaboration with Studio Artist-in-Residence Psalmayene 24, is launching a three-part series of digital dance parties with conversation—Psalm's Salons at Studio—beginning June 25 at 5 p.m. The virtual salons are an online gathering space to highlight the work of Black creatives, signal boost local and Black-owned businesses, kick back to live music, and promote a sense of community. Salons will be hosted by Psalmayene 24 with original music from DJ Nick tha 1da, sampling from the Library of Congress's Citizen DJ tool, and a rotating panel of guests. Events in the series are free to view and will be streamed live on Studio Theatre's Facebook and YouTube pages.

To prioritize the safety and wellbeing of students, artists, and staff, Round House Theatre's beloved summer camps will be held virtually. Round House Camp at Your House offers a full complement of online theatre education opportunities for grades K-3, 4-6, and 6-12. Camps will be conducted virtually in small, interactive classroom groups, and Round House Teaching Artists will lead students through live, daily activities in acting, movement, design, and playmaking. Parents and students can access online classes via password-protected video conferencing, and all necessary art supplies and activity sheets will be shipped directly to participating homes.
