John Engman Theater at Northport Presents 'OLIVER!' 11/28

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is proud to announce its production of OLIVER! which arrives just in time for the holidays. This precocious and charming classic has enchanted and entertained audiences for years. Lionel Bart's show is based on Charles Dickens' touching tale of an orphan boy who runs away from the orphanage and learns to live life on the hard streets of a not so merry ole' England. With such unforgettable songs as Food, Glorious Food, You've Got To Pick-A-Pocket Or Two, and I'd Do Anything, this show will have you wanting more, sir!

Tony Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg's Our Mother's Brief Affair will receive its World Premiere at South Coast Repertory as part of the theater's 12th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Pam MacKinnon, Our Mother's Brief Affair will run April 3 through May 3, 2009 on the Segerstrom Stage. Low-priced previews are available from April 3 through April 9.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Extends 'Lady' For Two Additional Weeks

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (David Van Asselt, Artistic Director and Sandra Coudert, Managing Director) has announced a two-week extension (through October 11) of Lady, the provocative new play by Craig Wright (The Pavilion). Directed by Dexter Bullard (Bug), the critically acclaimed production is being produced in association with Barrow Street Theatre. Performances began Thursday, August 28th, 2008. Opening night was Monday, September 8th at 7pm. The show will run now run through Saturday, October 11, 2008.
