Take a break from the frenzy of everyday life and enjoy Smoke on the Mountain, a wholesome celebration of faith, community, and Appalachian Music. Set in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina around 1938, Smoke on the Mountain brings to life a small-town musical revival featuring the traveling Sanders Family as they play the best of bluegrass, gospel, and hymns. Audiences will recognize beloved songs such as “Rock of Ages”, “The Church in the Wildwood”, “A Wonderful Time Up There,” and more as they are performed by talented actor-musicians. Running October 4th - 19th, Smoke on the Mountain, showcases the power of music to bring us all together and will have audiences singing along. 

Adult-contemporary country singer, and Minnesota-native Debbie Anthony has released her sophomore album, More To Be Said. Produced by fast-rising studio ace Gena Johnson (Ben Folds, Dave Cobb: Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Kacey Musgraves, John Prine), who also provides backing vocals on many of the tracks, More To Be Said is available at Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Pandora, and via her YouTube channel.

Jazz artist Sylvia Brooks has quite a fascinating background to share with us.  Hollywood Records/Industrial Media's 19 Recordings artist Laine Hardy announced his first headline tour today. After a triumphant show at this past weekend's KABOO Festival, which included Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Maren Morris, Mumford & Sons amongst dozens of other music luminaries, Hardy also has a homecoming show next weekend on September 28 at North Park in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Laine has two additional pre-tour shows with Toby Keith October 5th in Charleston, South Carolina, and with Jimmie Allen October 24th in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets for the 2019 Tour go on sale this Friday, September 20. “This is the moment I've been working toward…going out on my own tour!” said Hardy. “I can't wait to share the new songs I've been working on.”

'Celtic Crossings..the Original Hillbilly Highway” is a musical tapestry, made up of centuries-old musical history: combining the past with the present. Rich with stellar vocals, gorgeous fiddle, guitar and mandolin instrumentation, this beautiful and innovative show consists of a two-set musical presentation. With music and some spoken word, it outlines the migration of music from Scotland and Ireland to the U.S., continuing to their settlement into Appalachia and beyond. Set one features traditional Celtic ballads, which made the trip with the Scots-Irish in the 16th and 17th century.

In honor of the 108 years it took the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series, MIRACLE, the hit Chicago musical set against the backdrop of the Chicago Cubs 2016 championship season, is thrilled to celebrate its 108th performance on Friday, August 30th with a special event at the Royal George Theatre (1641 N. Halsted) beginning at 7:15 p.m. The scheduled performance of the production will follow at 8 p.m.
