Last night, Friday, June 3rd, Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl kicked off the iconic venue’s celebration of its first 100 seasons with a lineup of sensational performances featuring Gwen Stefani, LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The LA Phil opened the evening with the world premiere of Centennial Overture, written by legendary composer John Williams, who made a surprise guest appearance to conduct the work commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Hollywood Bowl.
The sixteen-track album sees the global icon serving up his classic infectious sound and party-starting rhythms, just in time for the summer. In traditional Sean Paul fashion, the album boasts features from legendary artists across genres including focus track “Light My Fire” featuring Gwen Stefani and Shenseea.
Written and produced by Stewart, Ebony McQueen was recorded at Nashville’s legendary Blackbird Studio and his own Bay Street Recording Studio in the Caribbean, with contributions from an array of top vocalists, session players, and a 60-piece Budapest Scoring Orchestra.
