The film, which explores the life and work of the 15th century artist Leonardo da Vinci, is Burns's first non-American subject. It also marks a significant change in the team's filmmaking style, which includes using split screens with images, video and sound from different periods to further contextualize Leonardo's art and scientific explorations.
Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to Studio Ponoc's upcoming animated film slate, including 'The Imaginary Film.' This follows a big year for Netflix animation, including Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and Leo, with Adam Sandler, making the biggest debut ever for a Netflix animated film.

The Hollywood Creative Alliance announced they will be honoring Willem Dafoe with the Excellence in Artistry Award, celebrating his 2023 performances such as Nemo from “Inside,” Saltzburg Keitel from “Asteroid City,” the voice of Noble Pelican from “The Boy and The Heron,” and Dr. Godwin Baxter from “Poor Things.”
