RIVERDALE: A Musical Parody Set To Hit Rockwell Table & Stage In April

From comic book to sweeping dramatic CW series, the students of Riverdale High have survived many cultural mediums. Now, the characters of Riverdale will embark on their most savage and hysterical journey yet, a Rockwell Table & Stage Musical Parody. Hitting the stage on April 4, 2020, RIVERDALE: A Musical Parody, will have fans laughing out loud and cheering for more. The production will run Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm, and Sunday afternoons at 1pm thru May 24, 2020. 

CECA Will Welcome Award Winning Erica Weiss For A Week Of Workshops And Special Events

From Monday, March 2nd - Thursday March 5th, the APSU Department of Theatre and Dance and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) will welcome award winning director/playwright/showrunner Erica Weiss to campus for a series of workshops and public events. Ms. Weiss is visiting APSU as an Acuff Chair of Excellence with the support of CECA.

CBS Television Studios Announces New Five-Year Overall Deal with Jennie Snyder Urman and Her Sutton Street Productions

Prolific television writer/producer Jennie Snyder Urman has extended her production agreement with CBS Television Studios through 2025. Under the new deal, CBS Television Studios has the exclusive rights to produce all television content created and developed by Urman and her creative partner Joanna Klein through their Sutton Street Productions.

Netflix has released the trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 3. Part Three finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two. Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch. Sabrina can't live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan's watchful eye. BroadwayCon Will Host The CW's KATY KEENE Screening And Q&A

BroadwayCon 2020 will host an exclusive screening of the premiere episode of The CW's new series KATY KEENE, followed by a panel about the show's creation with cast and producers. The screening and panel will take place Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3 p.m. and is open to all BroadwayCon attendees. The show features characters who are artists, performers, and designers, capturing the same enthusiasm and excitement about their dreams that Broadway fans and creators themselves experience.

ABC Picks Up Supernatural Drama THE BRIDES

ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announced today that the network has picked up “The Brides,” a new drama from executive producer/writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television to pilot.  Maggie Kiley (“American Horror Story,” “Riverdale,” upcoming “Katy Keene”) is set to direct.

Alumnus Greg Berlanti Endows Professorship At Northwestern School Of Communication

A new dramatic writing professorship at the Northwestern University School of Communication will significantly expand course offerings and teaching opportunities, thanks to a $2 million gift from the Berlanti Family Foundation. The new Barbara Berlanti Professorship in Writing for the Screen and Stage marks the foundation's largest philanthropic commitment to any organization to date.

ICG Publicists Name Ava DuVernay Television Showman of the Year

Ava DuVernay, award-winning writer, director and producer, is set to receive the prestigious Television Showman of the Year from the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists, honoring her prolific career as a visionary television producer. The 57th Annual ICG Publicists Awards ceremony, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards®, will be held in the International Ballroom of The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 7, 2020. More than 900 industry leaders are expected to attend this year's luncheon, celebrating excellence in publicity and promotion for motion pictures and television programs.
