New Light Theater Project presents Brecht: Call and Respond (an evening of three one-acts), featuring The Jewish Wife by Bertolt Brecht with the commissioned one-acts Self Help in the Anthropocene by Kristin Idaszak and Sunset Point by Arlene Hutton. Directed by Jerry Heymann, Brecht: Call and Respond (an evening of three one-acts) begins performances on Thursday, January 30 for a limited engagement through Saturday, February 15. Press opening is Sunday, February 2 at 3 pm. The performance schedule is Wednesday a?" Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 2 pm & 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 3 pm. Please note the following schedule adjustments: there is no matinee performance on Saturday 2/1; there is an added performance on Tue 2/11 at 7:30 pm. New Light Theater Project (Sarah Norris, Artistic Director; Michael Aguirre, Producing Director) is announcing that IMAGINING MADOFF, written by Deb Margolin and directed by Jerry Heymann, will transfer to the Lion on Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) in the Fall. Jenny Allen, Gerry Bamman, and Jeremiah Kissel will reprise their critically acclaimed roles.

Continuing Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season of professional theatre is A COMEDY OF MANORS. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Red Bull Theater's Revelations Readings kicked off its new season with a gala benefit reading of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S THE TEMPEST, featuring Michael Cerveris as Prospero. Directed by Jesse Berger the cast also included De'Adre Aziza, Gerry Bamman, Clifton Duncan,Angel Desai, Sean Patrick Doyle, Glenn Fleshler, Carman Lacivita, Drew Ledbetter, Matthew Rauch, Jay O. Sanders,Stephen Spinella, Raphael Nash Thompson, Auden Thornton,Michael Urie, Marc Vietor, and more. The Tempest featured original live music by Greg Pliska. It took place for one night only on October 20th at Playwrights Horizons, 416 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. Facing PageProductions announced it will produce Sonnet Karaoke - a high octane reading of Shakespeare's sonnets by Broadway stars and Bard lovers - on November 18th at 8:00 pm at Gossip Bar and Restaurant (733 9th Avenue). The event, hosted by Nick Westrate, will benefit the Company's Marathon 2014, a three-plus day non-stop reading of Shakespeare's canon in the spring.
