Today (16 April 2018), rehearsals begin for the West End production of Nina Raine's Consent which will begin previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 18 May with its opening night on 29 May 2018. Directed by Roger Michell and originally co-produced and commissioned by Out of Joint, this strictly limited 12-week run is booking through to 11 August 2018 following the 2017 critically acclaimed sell-out run at the National Theatre. A series of accompanying pre-show talks and discussions exploring ideas of justice, consent, marriage and modern parenthood will be announced at a later date.

Flint Youth Theatre - Michigan's Professional Theatre for Young Audiences presents world premiere musical 'THE GERANIUM ON THE WINDOWSILL JUST DIED BUT TEACHER YOU WENT RIGHT ON,' Book and Lyrics by Michael Lluberes, Music by Jared M. Dembowski, Based on the book by Albert Cullum. Performances begin Saturday, April 21 and run through Sunday, May 6. Tickets are now on sale.

Directed by Roger Michell and originally co-produced and commissioned by Out of Joint, Consent will begin previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 18 May for a strictly limited 12-week run. Opening night will take place on 29 May with booking through to 11 August 2018. Tickets for this West End transfer - with over 14,000 priced at £25 or under - will go on public sale on Thursday 15 March 2018 at 10am.

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, will present MONUMENT, a collection of new mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's 2018 Musical Theater Lab. Robert Dick's residency at The Stone this March is a powerful representation of his extensive creative versatility. Running from March 21st  through 26th, this will be the first time that an array of his projects will be presented in New York. Ranging from completely improvised (We Are the Walrus, a duo with baritone Thomas Buckner; Dissonant Geranium, a trio with Miya Masaoka, koto and Ken Filiano, bass; Raise the River, a duo with drummer Tiffany Chang; Our Cells Know, contrabass flute solo), to a project based on Robert Dick's works that embrace improvisation within a strong compositional framework (The Time Between Us, a quartet with Stephanie Griffin, viola; Ned Rothenberg, alto sax, bass clarinet and shakuhachi; Satoshi Takeishi, drums), to efforts based on collaboration (Bermuda Rectangle, a quartet with singer/spoken word artist Vince Bell, voice and guitar; David Mansfield, guitars; Ratzo B. Harris, bass). These performances all come together to put Robert's expressive range front and center.

Tonight nonprofit Heartland Film announced the full lineup and event schedule for its 25th annual Heartland Film Festival (Oct. 20-30, 2016) at a special event at The Athenaeum.

It is announced today that Claudie Blakley, Marcus Fraser, Mark Hadfield and Alex Macqueen will join previously confirmed cast members Kenneth Branagh and Rob Brydon in the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's new comedy The Painkiller. Few actors come with sleuthing skills as sharp as Jason Durr who continues his celebrated run as the diminutive detective Hercule Poirot in the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie's, espionage classic Black Coffee this autumn. As the Belgian investigator, Jason is now set to get his "little grey cells" working in the celebrated crime collective's latest production at the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Monday 3 November.
