Audible Theater is presenting the world premiere production of GOOD ENEMY, written by Audible Theater Emerging Playwright Yilong Liu and directed by Obie Award winner Chay Yew. Tim Liu and Jeena Yi, who star in in Audible Theater's Good Enemy which begins performances tonight, sat down with Richard Ridge to chat all about bringing this production to New York City and audiences around the globe.

Audible Inc. will present the world premiere of Lucy, written and directed by BAFTA Award nominee Erica Schmidt (Cyrano, MacBeth). Performances of the limited five-week-only engagement will begin Saturday, January 28, 2023 with an official opening on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere production of The Far Country, an Atlantic commissioned play by Guggenheim fellow Lloyd Suh, directed by Obie Award winner Eric Ting.

Portland Center Stage and Boom Arts are partnering on their first co-production, Kristina Wong’s witty, tour-de-force look at the early days of the pandemic, Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord. The play begins preview performances on November 5, opens on November 11, and runs through December 18 in the Ellyn Bye Studio at The Armory.

La Jolla Playhouse’s production of Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristina Wong (featured in the Playhouse’s Digital WOW production of Binge) and directed by Chay Yew (Playhouse’s Cambodian Rock Band), will run in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre September 20 – October 16.

NAATCO will present the inaugural production of the NAATCO National Partnership Project, Queen, written by playwright and screenwriter Madhuri Shekar (House of Joy) and directed by Aneesha Kudtarkar, which will begin performances Friday June 10th at the A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theatre (502 West 53rd Street), continuing through July 1st only.

QUEEN, by Madhuri Shekar and playing at Long Wharf Theatre through June 5th, is a timely investigation of ideas that centers on women in STEM (who are underrepresented onstage as in life). Unfortunately, cryptic writing and a misguided set design lessen the impact that the production might have achieved. Still, QUEEN's premise and plot are intriguing.
