Sara Holdren will direct a staged reading of Jane Austen's Persuasion, adapted for the theatre by emerging playwright Sarah Rose Kearns, on Monday, April 9th at 7 o'clock at The Players in New York City, 16 Gramercy Park South. This performance will feature Jack Halpin, Marc LeVasseur, Patricia McNamara, Chris Mixon, Daniel Reece, Amanda Jill Robinson (also acting as music director), Maggie Wetzel, Esther Williamson, and Jenna Zhu.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its season of theater for all audiences with A Little Shakespeare: The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare's high-energy comedy about two sets of identical twins, adapted and directed by Sara Holdren. The production will run March 6-11 on the stage of the Rechnitz Theater, featuring a cast of 14 students from 6 New Jersey high schools: Asbury Park HS, Christian Brothers Academy, Howell HS - FPAC, Neptune HS, Red Bank Regional HS - VPA, and Trinity Hall. A Little Shakespeare is supported by OceanFirst, The Jorgensen Foundation, and Monmouth University.

An epic romance retrieves from oblivion the lost story of the Holocaust of Libyan Jews in 'Benghazi Bergen-Belsen,' a play by Lahav Timor that is inspired by the Brenner Prize-winning 2016 novel of the same name by Yossi Sucary, the first book about Jews in World War II Libya. The play is translated from Hebrew by Inbal Timor and directed by Michal Gamily. La MaMa Theatre will present its world premiere run March 23 to April 9 in its Downstairs Theater, 66 East Fourth Street, Manhattan (East Village).
