Birdland Jazz Club has released its schedule for December 30-January 12. Performers include Marilyn Maye, John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Duo, The Billy Stritch Trio, and more. 

The Waterville Opera House (WOH) is seizing the day with Disney's Newsies the Musical! With nonstop thrills, a timeless message of right over might, delightful dancing, and iconic high-energy songs, you're sure to have a whizbang of a time! City Parks Foundation's SummerStage is proud to announce the 27th Anniversary celebration of the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival. In the world of modern music, few figures loom as large or cast as long a shadow as saxophonist Charlie 'Bird' Parker, celebrated as a bebop pioneer and for bringing jazz into the modern era.

Birdland will kick-off their great week of programming with Veronica Swift with the Emmet Cohen Trio, Nancy Kelly, Eve Marie Shahoian, and more!

On Saturday, July 6, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) continues its Jazz Masters music series with the Marshall McDonald Jazz Project featuring McDonald, a 30-year veteran of the New York jazz scene, and his band. Joining McDonald will be James Weidman on piano, Nori Naraoka on bass, and George Coleman Jr. on drums. The band will perform two sets at 7:30 and 9 pm at WCT, 23 Water Street in Ossining.

Birdland has announced its upcoming May program!

Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music. His ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 jazz albums, as well as multiple Gold and Platinum records and Grammy Awards.The McCallum Theatre welcomes the return of Grammy Award winner Chris Botti on Friday, April 12, at 8:00pm and Saturday, April 13, at 8:00pm.

On Saturday, April 6, Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture presents a double bill of Latin jazz with a Tribute to Dave Valentin, featuring a quintet led by the late flutist's musical director, pianist Bill O'Connell with virtuoso flutist Andrea Brachfeld, then following with the debut of Bill O'Connell's most recent project A.C.E. (Afro-Caribbean Ensemble) featuring a nonet comprised of some of New York's top jazz and Latin jazz artists.

Lauded jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, accompanied by THE MEMPHIS SOULPHONY, will be bringing her latest show MEMPHIS: YES, I'M READY, based on her latest musical release Memphis: Yes, I'm Ready to The Wallis for one night only March 23, 2019. The most warm and delightful Ms. Bridgewater managed to entertain and enlightened me on the phone for an informative, heartfelt forty-five minutes.

The intimate, indoor Event Gallery at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts will host 1969 Woodstock festival alumnus (who performed with Paul Butterfield as part of the Butterfield Blues Band) and Grammy-award winner David Sanborn on November 7th at 8:00 p.m. Reserved seating tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Friday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at www.BethelWoodsCenter.org
