Worthing Theatres And Museum Launch 2020 Season - War Of The Worlds, Bryony Kimmings, Headlong, And More

Worthing Theatres and Museum are thrilled to announce their upcoming 2020 season to the public. This season's programme marks a new era, bringing exciting work across multiple artforms for you all to explore. With genres covering theatre, family shows, live music, circus, comedy, dance, exhibitions and film, the programme is designed to entertain a wide range of audiences across the county of Sussex and beyond, and their latest brochure highlights just some of the organisations new incredible projects.

Portland Opera Announces 2020/21 Season

Portland Opera has announced programming for the 2020/21 season, which will open on September 11, 2020. The season will launch in the fall with Robert Xavier Rodríguez's Frida, starring soprano Catalina Cuervo in the title role. This will be followed by the company's fall classic opera, Puccini's enduring drama Tosca, in October and November. The season will continue with a double bill of two pieces honoring the lives of Jewish victims of the Holocaust-Grigori Frid's The Diary of Anne Frank and Jake Heggie's For a Look or a Touch-in early 2021. On March 13, the company will present its annual Big Night concert at the Keller Auditorium. The season will close with Giuseppe Verdi's tour de force opera, Il Trovatore, starring Italian soprano Selene Zanetti in her U.S. debut.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Will Present the World Premiere of Juan Pablo Contreras' LUCHA LIBRE!

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), led by Music Director Jaime Martín, presents the world premiere of Juan Pablo Contreras' Lucha Libre!, a LACO Sound Investment Commission, on Saturday, March 28, 8 pm, at Glendale's Alex Theatre, and Sunday, March 29, 2020, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. The program also features renowned pianist Denis Kozhukhin on Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major and R. Strauss's orchestral suite Le Bourgeois gentihomme.

Chicago Sinfonietta Presents A Sonic Art Exhibition During Women's History Month March

Leading the nation in programming works by women and diverse, under-represented composers, Chicago Sinfonietta, the nation's most diverse orchestra, presents Sight + Sound, a sonic art exhibition meant to take audiences on an introspective journey through the world of visual art by way of music. Featuring world-renowned violinist Jennifer Koh as a guest artist for a World Premiere commissioned work by composer Courtney Bryan, the concert will meld symphonic color in a tribute to the world's most groundbreaking artists in a visceral celebration of the senses. Chicago Sinfonietta's performances will occur Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 8 p.m. at Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville, and on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave in Chicago.
