Bay Area Cabaret Announces Carmen Cusack & Susan Werner

Bay Area Cabaret kicks off the new year welcoming back Tony-nominated Broadway star Carmen Cusack on Sunday, January 20 at 5:00 p.m. Ms. Cusack returns to the Venetian Room with an evening celebrating her favorite songs and the artists behind them including singer/songwriters past and present like Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, Kate Bush and Kimbra, plus she'll offer a sampling of original tunes and Broadway selections.

Acclaimed Documentary WON'T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR? Debuts 2/9 On HBO

WON'T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?, the acclaimed documentary from Morgan Neville (the Oscar®-winning “20 Feet from Stardom”), will debut SATURDAY, FEB. 9 (8:00-9:35 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO. In addition, HBO will honor Fred Rogers' contribution and commitment to public television with a special presentation of the film on PBS' “Independent Lens,” coinciding with the HBO debut.

ROMA Feels the Love with D.C. Film Critics

'Roma' triumphed with four wins when The Washington, D.C. Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) announced their top honorees for 2018 this morning. A poignantly observed, Mexico-set period drama dedicated to director Alfonso Cuarón's real-life childhood nanny, 'Roma' won Best Film and Best Director, as well as Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography for its sweeping black-and-white lensing.

Ellen Theatre Announces November Events

The month of November kicks off with the screening of Won't You Be My Neighbor? on Friday, November 2 at 7:30 PM. Filmmaker Morgan Neville examines the life and legacy of Fred Rogers, the beloved host of popular children's TV show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, in this inspiring documentary. Rated PG. 1 hour and 34 minutes. All Seats $6.

The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival Announces Feature and Short Film Lineup

The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF), presented by Mountain Valley Spring Water, announced today the official selections for this year's short and feature documentary lineups. This year's festival will include additional categories including U.S., International, Southern Stories, Sports, as well as a spotlight on films Made in Arkansas. Now approaching its 27th year, HSDFF is the longest running all-documentary festival in North America and is Academy Award®-Qualifying in the Documentary Short Subject Category.
