The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with Garces Restaurant Group, is excited to announce brand new custom cocktails for the Broadway Philadelphia 2017-18 season. Volv r, the Kimmel Center's in-house restaurant from Iron Chef Jose Garces, will now exclusively serve drinks specially designed by its mixologists that represent show-stopping themes from the lineup. Philadelphians are invited to indulge in these encore-worthy creations inside Volv r during the run of its corresponding show, or craft up a one-of-a kind creation at home using the recipe guide.

Producers announced today the first North American tour and full casting of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of THE COLOR PURPLE.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will be partnering with TD Bank for a city-wide book drive to benefit Philadelphia Reads and the School District of Philadelphia. Finding Neverland makes its Philadelphia debut at the Academy of Music from November 21-November 26, and the book drive will be taking place across four Center City TD Bank locations from November 1-November 26.

Producers Fox Theatricals and Barbara Whitman have announced that the national tour of the 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, FUN HOME, has recouped its tour production costs in only eight months since opening in October 2016 in Cleveland, OH.

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), opens for a two-week engagement at the Forrest Theatre tonight, April 28 - May 10, as part of Broadway Philadelphia, presented collaboratively by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Shubert Organization. The press opening is Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m.

The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization today announced the 2015-2016 Broadway Philadelphia season, featuring a spectacular lineup of Tony Award winning Broadway hits. The upcoming season features productions with a combined 46 Tony nominations, and will introduce six brand-new national touring shows making their Philadelphia premieres. Tony Award-winning costume designer, JESS GOLDSTEIN (currently represented on Broadway with Jersey Boys and On the Town), and scenic designer DOUGLAS W. SCHMIDT are among the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 1, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Goldstein was selected to receive the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Schmidt will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

ROCKY the musical, based on the 1976 movie, closed last August after just five months on Broadway. Philly.com entertainment writer Chuck Darrow shared an idea today to bring ROCKY to Philidelphia as a permanent attraction.
