Mr. Popper's Penguins

February 10 • Merriam Theater

Based on the popular book by Richard and Florence Atwater, Mr. Popper's Penguins will glide onto the Merriam Theater stage for two performances on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Mr. Popper's Penguins tells the story of painter and decorator, Mr. Popper and his new penguin friends. The new live production features original songs by Luke Bateman and Richy Hughes and performing penguin puppets.

Laurin Talese

February 10 • Perelman Theater

University of the Arts alumna and Philadelphia-based jazz vocalist Laurin Talese will headline an enchanting tribute performance to one of her biggest musical influences, iconic jazz singer Nancy Wilson, with Nancy Wilson: The Song Stylist, on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 8:00 pm in the Perelman Theater. Both Ohio natives, Laurin Talese and Nancy Wilson have an affinity for captivating lyrics, exquisite melodies, and musical storytelling.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Fresh off the release of their highly-anticipated new album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds soar into the Kimmel Center's Merriam Theater on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. While flowing from the same molten core of melody, songwriting craft, and towering self-belief, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' new album Who Built the Moon? alters the legendary British singer-songwriter's course, following a two-year creative collaboration with renowned producer, DJ, and composer, David Holmes.

G3 Tour

February 17 • Merriam Theater

Guitar superstar Joe Satriani will rock the stage of the Kimmel Center's Merriam Theater on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. during his massively popular G3 Tour, presented in association with BRE Presents. Satriani will be joined by fellow six-string legends John Petrucci of Dream Theater and Phil Collen of Def Leppard.

Something Rotten!

February 27 - March 4 • Academy of Music

The completely original new musical Something Rotten! makes its Philadelphia debut from February 27 - March 4 at the Academy of Music on the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus. The show is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin); with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick; and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell.
