Global Pop Star Lara Fabian is kicking off her latest world tour in New York City at the Beacon Theatre on September 16th. Celebrating not only her 30 year long music career, but also her 50th birthday, Fabian is coming to four major US cities as a part of her '50' World Tour 2019. She will then continue on to 20 cities throughout Russia and Europe until March 2020.

The Gateway Theatre ends their dazzling 70th season with the Long Island premiere of Tony award winning musical Kinky Boots. The stellar Larry Raben directed production runs through September 14th at the beautiful Patchogue Theatre. This show, based on the movie with a book by Harvey Fierstein, is indeed a must-see this season.

TROIKA Entertainment announced the casting for the North American tour of Jimmy Buffett's ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE. The musical will star Chris Clark as Tully, Sarah Hinrichsen as Rachel, Shelly Lynn Walsh as Tammy, Peter Michael Jordan as Brick, Rachel Lyn Fobbs as Marley, Patrick Cogan as J.D. and Matthew James Sherrod as Jamal/Ted.

Ralph B. Peña is currently directing Ma-Yi's Felix Starro Off-Broadway at Theatre Row. The new musical is making an impact on both audience members and the history books as it marks the first time a musical created by Filipino-Americans will be presented Off-Broadway. Peña took the time to chat with BroadwayWorld about the upcoming production.

In Slow Food by playwright Wendy MacLeod, New York empty-nesters Irene and Peter head to Palm Springs to celebrate their anniversary. They are envisioning a carefree trip full of rest and relaxation but instead, they get stuck with a cargo van as their rental car, a nonfunctioning hot tub at their hotel, and Stephen, a waiter at the only restaurant that seems to be open late on a Sunday evening. While vans and hot tubs are minor hiccups on their anniversary trip, Stephen proves to be a formidable obstacle to their marital bliss when it becomes clear that their food will not be coming anytime soon.

Up the Floor will play in the Big Room at Theater Lampegiet on Sept. 24.

We had Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors...and now we have Jamie Lloyd's Evita, which dazzles with an interpretation that is stylistically groundbreaking.

The ASCAP Foundation, led by President Paul Williams, and Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc., led by Founder & Chairman George Wein, continue their joint effort to promote emerging jazz talent for the fourth consecutive year.
