Legendary fashion designer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg has been announced as the 2025 PAC NYC ICON OF CULTURE. The PAC NYC ICONS OF CULTURE Gala will take place on October 28, 2025, at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in Lower Manhattan.

On Tuesday, September 8, A&E premieres a new documentary special, “Biography: I Want My MTV” which charts the rise of the cultural phenomenon that came to define a generation: MTV. 

A look at Jean-Michel Basquiat's life pre-fame, and how New York City, the times, the people and the movements around him formed the artist he became, BOOM FOR REAL weaves the story of Jean-Michel and the city with never before seen works, writings and photographs.  Director Sara Driver worked closely and collaboratively with her friends and other artists who emerged from that scene: Nan Goldin, Jim Jarmusch, James Nares, Fab Five Freddy, Lee Quinones, Luc Sante and many others.

Amongst the explosion of interest in Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sara Driver's film locates his emerging genius in a beautifully rendered time and place - late 70s New York City.

Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (RPAF) raised over $1.1 million at its annual ART FOR LIFE Benefit on July 15th at Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, NY. Proceeds from ART FOR LIFE benefit the Foundation's signature arts education and gallery programs, which have directly served tens of thousands of inner-city youth over the past 20 years.
