The National Theater Institute has partnered with the Moscow Art Theatre for nearly 25 years and is the longest cultural and educational exchange between Russia and United States. NTI offers the only opportunity for U.S. undergraduates to train at the famed Moscow Art Theatre School. The 13-week, credit-earning program offered each fall allows students to study in the birthplace of modern theater.

Andre De Shields & Adam Chanler-Berat to Lead Public Theater & DTC's THE FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE in Dallas; Full Cast & Creative Team Announced

Dallas Theater Center announced today the award-winning cast and creative team for the world premiere new musical The Fortress of Solitude, a co-production with The Public Theater in New York City. The Fortress of Solitude is based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by 2005 MacArthur Fellow Jonathan Lethem. The musical is conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, with a book by Itamar Moses, and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. The Fortress of Solitude opens with previews on March 7 and runs through April 6. Tovah Feldshuh, Richard H. Blake & More Set for DAMASCUS SQUARE Reading, 10/25

Multi-Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh, Richard Blake, Bradley Dean, as well as Etai BenShlomo and Natalie Ellis are among the actors taking part in a private October 25 workshop presentation of 'Damascus Square,' a new musical co-written by Shai Baitel, Oran Eldor, and Sarah Hirsch.

Etai BenShlomo & More Join Avi Hoffman in THE RISE OF DAVID LEVINSKY Reading Today

The actor and director Avi Hoffman has organized a special presentation of 'The Rise of David Levinsky,' a musical by Isaiah Sheffer and Bobby Paul, which will honor Sheffer, the late founding artistic director of Symphony Space. The open-to-the-public reading tonight, Monday October 21 at 7pm, takes place at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street). The free event marks the one-year anniversary of the death of Sheffer, who died in November of last year.

The actor and director Avi Hoffman is organizing two staged readings in October. The first, a new play 'Rough Patch' by Charles Gluck, will get off to a 'smooth' start today, October 7 at 6pm, at the Roy Arias Studios, at the Times Square Arts Center, 300 West 43rd Street.
