Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: Capathia Jenkins returns to NEWSIES as 'Medda', we can add two new Original Cast Recordings to our collection -- LADY DAY and HEDWIG -- and Idina Menzel performs at tonight's MBL All-Star Game!

TODAY'S TOP ITEMS:

NEWS YOU MISSED YESTERDAY:

Broadway Weather Forecast: Feels like deja vu! Thunderstorms with a high of 84 today. But hang in there -- looks like the clouds will be clearing up later this week.

Quote of the Day: In light of yesterday's wonderful news that AMERICAN PSYCHO will be traveling across the pond, hear what creator Duncan Sheik has to say about darkness in art...

I actually think sadness and darkness can be very beautiful and healing.
-- Duncan Sheik (via BrainyQuote)

What we're listening to: The LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR AND GRILL Original Broadway Cast Recording, out today! Not only do we get to travel back in time to Billie Holiday's hey-day, we also get to live it through another stand-out entertainer -- six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald.

And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to Scott Foley, who turns 43 today!

Well known for his roles as 'Sean Kelly' in the long-running medical dramedy series Scrubs (please make a musical, please!), 'Henry Burton' in Grey's Anatomy, 'Patrick Devins' in True Blood and 'Jake Ballard' on Scandal, Foley starred on Broadway in 2003's The Violet Hour.
