'Do You Love This Planet?' by the playwright and philosopher Alexander Matthews will premiere at Covent Garden's Tristan Bates Theatre in February 2019. Directed by Antony Law, the play will run from 27 February to 23 March, with a press night at 7pm on Tuesday 5 March. Casting will be announced at a later date.

M-34's world premiere of director James Rutherford's new English translation of Oscar Wilde's SALOME, choreographed by Jess Goldschmidt, will now run October 6 - 27 (instead of 8/25 - 9/15 as previously announced) at Irondale (85 South Oxford St.) in Brooklyn. Opening night is October 10.

Benjamin's birthday gift to Elliot, a copy of Horatio Alger's juvenile novel Ragged Dick, is an astute choice. Alger's uplifting message that anyone can pull themselves up "by the bootstraps" feels archaic today, but the discovery of Alger's homosexuality, made long after his death, provides relevant insights to the characters of Skintight.

BWW Review: PAMPLONA at Goodman Theatre

It is no small feat to create a believable portrait of a great artist that pays equal homage to their creative genius and their ordinary hopes, struggles, and failures. Playwright Jim McGrath does exactly this for Ernest Hemingway in PAMPLONA. Under Robert Falls' direction, renowned actor Stacy Keach returns to the role he was meant to play in spring of 2017, before a mild heart attack prevented the Goodman's world premiere production from opening. It was worth the wait.
