On June 24, (Le) Poisson Rouge hosted 'JACK Moves,' a benefit concert for OBIE Award-winning performance venue JACK, located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Emcee'd by Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and Octet composer Dave Malloy, 'JACK Moves' was a vibrant evening of life-affirming music, featuring an adventurous group of performers from the Broadway, Downtown, and Brooklyn theater and music scenes, all in support of JACK's move to a larger space in the same neighborhood.

The Public Theater presented a free one-night-only PUBLIC FORUM: QUEER & NOW on Monday, June 17 at The Delacorte Theater.

Everybooty, BAM's celebration of New York City Pride Month, returns to BAM Fisher on June 29. This all-inclusive, all-gender celebration of queer nightlife features musicians, dancers, comedians, visual artists, a dedicated piano bar, and dancing in the entire BAM Fisher building. With this event, BAM joins the city-wide commemoration of Stonewall 50.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is producing a reading of the new musical THE TATTOOED LADY, book by Obie-winner Erin Courtney, music and lyrics by Lucille Lortel-winner Max Vernon, and direction by Ellie Heyman. THE TATTOOED LADY was selected for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's Triple R program, giving the writers 2 readings and a residency to do extensive development of their musical in a compressed time frame.

This month Washington Ensemble Theatre (WET) will present a limited engagement of Singlet, a critically acclaimed new theatre work by the genre-defying performer and creator Erin Markey. Singlet is the inaugural show in The GUSH Series, WET's new program that presents theatrical works from outside Seattle that are curated by the Ensemble and performed on its mainstage.

Joe's Pub, a program and venue of The Public Theater, announces the new class of Joe's Pub Working Group (JPWG), the venue's artist development program dedicated to enhancing the career sustainability and growth of performing artists. FringeArts welcomes the most exciting new voices in American comedy to Philadelphia on February 1 & 2 for the inaugural Blue Heaven comedy festival. The festival name references "blue" comedy, or the bawdiest, most risque material in a comedian's repertoire, and Blue Heaven celebrates precisely that with a diverse lineup that pairs cabaret performers alongside nationally-recognized comedians as they tease and interrogate stand-up, improv, sketch, and musical comedy.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) is thrilled to announce the eighth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. Moving from Friday to Sunday night, HIGH MAINTENANCE® returns for its nine-episode third season SUNDAY, JAN. 20 (10:30-11:05 p.m. ET/PT). In response to popular demand and critical acclaim, Ars Nova extends the New York Times Critics' Pick world premiere of Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future to November 10.

La MaMa celebrates its 2018 Regional Theatre Tony Award at its 57th Season Gala on Thursday, October 25 at 6 pm in the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.). The Gala evening will honor the Tony Award-winning playwright Lisa Kron (FUN HOME) and will feature performances by downtown icons Taylor Mac and Erin Markey, rising star Gunnar Montana and a musical ensemble of Broadway and Off-Broadway performers singing A Change Will Come by the late La MaMa artist Elizabeth Swados. Mia Yoo is Artistic Director of La MaMa.

Due to a water damage emergency, Ars Nova has been forced to adjust the performance schedule for the world premiere of Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future, which began previews on September 25. The opening has been moved to Monday, October 15 and a new closing date has been set for November 3. Performances on October 2-6 have been canceled to allow for necessary repairs. On September 29, a fire sprinkler activated and caused water damage to the set, theater, and basement.

Ars Nova, under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, kicks off its 2018-2019 season at its original home with the world premiere of Rags Parkland Sings The Songs Of The Future. Created by Andrew R. Butler, a former Ars Nova resident artist and 2018 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient, this sci-fi folk concert is directed by Jordan Fein (Erin Markey's Singlet) and strengthens Ars Nova's reputation as an innovator in stretching the bounds of music-driven theater.
