At an online media announcement - pre-taped in front of Meridian Hall with physically distanced protocols in place - streamed June 8 on the Dora Awards YouTube channel, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 243 nominations for the 41st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
Bad Times Theatre to Premiere BOX 4901 by Brian Francis

Timeshare performance today released new casting and production details for the world premiere of Box 4901, written by and starring Brian Francis, and co-created and directed by Rob Kempson. Box 4901 will play in Toronto at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre from February 27 to March 8, with opening night on February 28. Tickets are on sale now at buddiesinbadtimes.com.

Canadian Stage presents the 30th anniversary of Toronto's much-loved outdoor theatre tradition, Shakespeare in High Park, with a new production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Featuring a talented local cast with award-winning director Richard Rose at the helm, the production gives the classic comedy a unique Toronto twist, bringing it closer than ever to High Park today. The popular pay-what-you-can, family-friendly event will run from June 28 to September 2, 2012 on Tuesday to Sunday at 8 p.m. with gates opening at 6 p.m.
