A video sneak peek of the eagerly anticipated concert reading of DOGFIGHT has just been released, featuring the talented all-Canadian cast. Check it out below!

DOGFIGHT, the hauntingly beautiful musical by Pasek and Paul (Edges, James and the Giant Peach, A Christmas Story) and Peter Duchan, takes to the stage December 1st and 2nd at TRANZAC (292 Brunswick Avenue), produced by Kelly Holiff and Jason Spetter. Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers Film by Bob Comfort, DOGFIGHT takes audiences on "a romantic and heartbreaking theatrical journey that stays with you long after the performance".

"It's November 21, 1963. On the eve of their deployment to the growing conflict in Vietnam, three young Marines set out for one final boys' night of debauchery, partying and a little trouble. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and idealistic waitress he enlists to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits, she rewrites the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion."

DOGFIGHT's off-Broadway run was praised by countless critics and won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical.

Kelly Holiff (The Charlottetown Festival) stars as Rose, the young waitress who is pursued by fresh-faced Vietnam-bound soldier Eddie Birdlace, played by Daniel Greenberg (We Will Rock You).

Darlene Spencer directs. With choreography by Stephanie Graham (The Globe Theatre), and Musical Direction by Noah MacDougall (Anne and Gilbert).

The DOGFIGHT cast also features Steffi DiDomenicantonio (Spring Awakening), and Michael Hughes (2013 New York City Bistro Award Winner), with Nathan Carroll (Mirvish's Once), Michael De Rose (Avenue Q), Graham Scott Fleming (2014 Banks Prize Winner), Jessica Gallant (Anne of Green Gables), Clayton Labbe (Return to Grace), Andrew McAllister (Canada Rocks), Eric Morin (City of Angels), and Sarah Strange (Tweed: The Musical).

DOGFIGHT will take place on Monday, December 1st, and Tuesday, December 2nd, at 8pm at TRANZAC (292 Brunswick Avenue). Tickets: $20 (General admission), $15 (Arts Workers); Available online at www.brownpapertickets.com.
