FUN HOME, the musical that swept the 2015 Tony Awards is coming to Canada - and BroadwayWorld has photos from the first rehearsal!

The Musical Stage Company, fresh from their success with Britta Johnson's LIFE AFTER, will present FUN HOME from April 13 - May 6, 2018 as part of the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series at the CAA Theatre (formerly the Panasonic).

With music by Jeanine Tesori, and a book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, FUN HOME is based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel which shares the story of a 43-year-old lesbian cartoonist struggling to untangle her complex relationship with her deceased father.

Praised by the Huffington Post as "the best Broadway musical in years, with the finest score in a decade," the stunning musical score and heartbreaking story was the winner of 5 Tony Awards in 2015 including: Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book of a Musical, Best Leading Actor in a Musical, and Best Direction of a Musical.
