On April 8, 2016, at 8:00PM, The New York Pops will take center stage at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage in The Music of John Williams: From Spielberg to Star Wars. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra in a celebration of the work of legendary film composer John Williams, with a strong focus on his collaborations with Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg. The orchestra will breathe life into some of cinema's most iconic scores, including selections from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park. The concert will also include a look at Williams' seminal scoring of the Star Wars films, from their beginnings in the 1970s to today's
The Force Awakens.
On October 14, 2016, The New York Pops - a symphonic orchestra known for presenting popular programs of exceptional quality - will launch its 34th season at Carnegie Hall celebrating the diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons. Music Director Steven Reineke, who has been described by The New York Times as a 'polished, welcoming host' who is 'young and vigorous, with a playful attitude,' will lead the orchestra in the highly anticipated concert season. The series will include an opening night concert celebrating the legacy of Lerner and Loewe with Broadway stars Colin Donnell and Laura Osnes alongside operatic baritone Nathan Gunn; a festive patriotic salute on Veterans Day; an exciting spin on our traditional holiday concert, featuring sibling duos Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway and Will and Anthony Nunziata; an exploration of the lasting partnership between Broadway legends Kander and Ebb, featuring Joshua Henryand Caissie Levy; and a tribute to some of the century's greatest singers and songwriters.
On Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will continue its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today. With guest artists Darren Criss (Glee) and Betsy Wolfe (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), the concert brings the best of Broadway uptown. The program will feature a variety of musical theatre hits. Darren Criss replaces the previously announced Jeremy Jordan, who is unavailable due to a scheduling issue.

This staged concert version of the iconic television special brings the whole Peanuts gang to life through original choreography by director/choreographer Liza Gennaro, as performed by dancers from New York Theatre Ballet. Returning to The New York Pops Family Concert this season, Broadway actor John Bolton (Spamalot, Contact, Titanic) will narrate the classic Christmas tale, with additional characters voiced by students from TADA! The concert honors the duo's timeless work, which has captured the hearts of every generation of music lovers, and will feature guest artists Sierra Boggess and Steven Pasquale.
