Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents the 7th edition of Cutting-Edge Composers. Cutting-Edge Composers is a concert series that strives to create greater exposure for up-and-coming songwriters by providing them with venues, publicity, Broadway performers, and musicians to best showcase their material. Cutting-Edge Composers is directed and produced by Laura Pietropinto, co-produced by Allie Glickman, and features musical direction by Benjamin Rauhala and orchestrations by Rauhala and Julie McBride.
The Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present Tony-nominated composer Jeff Blumenkrantz, who was joined by his Bright Star cast mates to perform an evening of his original songs. Scroll down for photos from the concert!

The Broadway at Birdland series was proud to present actor/singer Erich Bergen, who made a triumphant return to the Birdland stage on Sunday and Monday, June 21 and 22. Erich last played the historic music room in December for two sold out performances. The musical director was Michael Orland, of 'American Idol' fame. Scroll down for photos!

This past Monday, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented singer Natalie Douglas in the first of a four-month run of her concert, 'Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton.' The celebration of all things Dolly will run Mondays, May 18, July 6 and August 10 at 7pm.

This week we are excited to feature composer Eric Dietz and his new musical, ALL THE WALLS, inspired by the powerful true story of Aron Ralston's escape from Blue John Canyon, Utah in 2003. After a falling boulder pins Aron's arm to the canyon wall, the adventurer's limits are put to the ultimate test. He finds strength in the memories of his friends and family, giving him the courage he needs to survive. In the title song, Aron's mother asks a police officer for assistance in her rescue efforts. When the officer declines her plea, she begs him to see the situation from her perspective. Here is the amazing Jessica Phillips (Next to Normal) performing the song at our 54 Below concert this past January.
