Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts to Present 'THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR,' 4/19

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its Target Storybook Series with Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other Eric Carle Favourites on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 2pm. Recommended for ages three and up, this triple-bill includes The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Little Cloud, and The Mixed-Up Chameleon. Tickets are $9 and can be purchased at BrooklynCenter.org or by calling the box office at 718-951-4500 (Tue-Sat, 1pm-6pm).

Deep Dish Theater to Stage JOURNEY'S END, 2/27-3/21

A band of British soldiers, hunkered down in the trenches in France in World War I, battle their own demons as they await a rumored German attack in R.C. Sherriff's landmark play, Journey's End, the next offering of the Deep Dish Theater Company. This warm and clear-eyed drama opens February 27 and plays through March 21, continuing the company's fourteenth season at University Mall.

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center to Present THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR, 2/28

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, presents The Very Hungry Caterpillar…, in conjunction with Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia, on Saturday, February 28 at 1:30PM. The Very Hungry Caterpillar… is part of BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center's 2014-2015 Family Theater Season, featuring plays, musicals, puppetry, concerts and dance for all ages.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 60th Anniversary Season of music, dance, theater, and family programming for 2014-15, reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. The line-up features award-winning performances from Jamaica, Russia, Canada, South Africa, and China as well as the United States, including both Brooklyn premieres and returning favorites.

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, presents Peter Cincotti, performing tonight, October 25 at 8PM, the first of four major concerts in the 2014-2015 Main Event Series, which also includes the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (November 21 at 8PM, $45 - $35) and The Hit Men (December 13 at 8PM, $45 - $35). Center for Puppetry Arts to Host Series of Workshops, Beginning Tomorrow

A landmark in Atlanta for almost 36 years, the Center for Puppetry Arts serves as both an entertainment venue and an educational center, inspiring learners of all ages through performances, exhibits and workshops. For individuals eager to expand their knowledge and practice of the craft of puppetry, the Explore Puppetry Series is a hands-on opportunity to engage within classroom environments, as well as through recorded playback sessions and live webinars on select workshops (check website for digital component availability). All workshops in the series with the exception of the International Puppetry Celebration are appropriate for ages 16 and up.

In their first appearance at the Center, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia brings some of Eric Carle's beloved stories to life through the magic of blacklight and fanciful puppets. 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' eats an amazing variety of foods on his path to becoming a beautiful butterfly, while high up in the sky 'Little Cloud' playfully transforms into various shapes including a sheep, an airplane, a shark and more.
