New work by Lee Hall, David Hare, Bryony Kimmings, Lucy Kirkwood, Nina Raine, Gillian Slovo and Alexander Zeldin, and contemporary revivals of two of the NT's most celebrated 20th century premieres - Amadeus and Angels in America - are among the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre announced today by Rufus Norris.

Newly adapted by David Hare and directed by Jonathan Kent, YOUNG CHEKHOV: THE BIRTH OF A GENIUS, which opens tonight 17 October, presents a unique theatrical event which will see a repertory cast of 23 actors performing 50 parts in PLATONOV, IVANOV and THE SEAGULL. For the first time ever on this scale, audiences will be given the opportunity to see all three shows in close proximity performed by the same group and with the same creative team. The first pictures are released today for a major new season of Anton Chekhov's early works at Chichester Festival Theatre. It is a great privilege for the Flomenhaft Gallery to host the ARTISTS CHOOSE ARTISTS exhibit and learn, along with the public, what excites artists that have been represented by their gallery as well as guest artists that we have asked to join them in this endeavor. Exhibition dates are from today, September 13th (Opening reception from 6 - 8 pm) to October 27th.

Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe today joined student artists from NYC Public Schools, Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education Dennis Walcott, Commissioner of the Department of Cultural Affairs Kate Levin, Senior Counsel for the Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Wendy Gellman, New York City Department of Education Coordinator of Visual Arts Karen Rosner, and guest artists Christo and Audrey Flack to present a student public art exhibition, on display through August in Parks throughout the city.

Performance, artist talks and a reception this Thursday, February 10th, presented by the gallery in partnership with The Feminist Art Project (TFAP) and Institute for Women & Art at Rutgers. The artists included are an exciting group, celebrated by curators and museum personnel throughout the United States.
