Houses on the Moon Theater Company (Emily Joy Weiner, Co-Founder & Artistic Director; Kevin Connor, Managing Director) proudly presents The Santa Closet, written and performed by Jeffrey Solomon and directed by Joe Brancato (Daniel's Husband). The Santa Closet is an updated version of Mr. Solomon's acclaimed solo play Santa Claus is Coming Out, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2009. On the 10th anniversary of that production, this new version reflects the advances and nuances in our understanding of LGBTQ lives and remains as timely 10 years later as when it first broke ground.

Houses on the Moon Theater Company will honor those that champion the unheard voice: award-winning producer, director and choreographer Warren Adams and celebrate immigrant rights activist Ravi Ragbir and The New Sanctuary Coalition with the 2018 Leyton Award at the 6th Annual Benefit Fundraiser "Amplify 2018" hosted by Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-nominee Brandon Victor Dixon who will be joined by guest performers Charl Brown, Marcus Choi, Liisi LaFontaine, Mariand Torres, and Derrick Williams with Ross Baum, Joseph Joubert and Georgia Stitt on Monday evening, October 29, 2018 at The Cutting Room (44 East 32ndStreet - between Park and Madison Avenues).

On Friday, March 16 The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison & Lisa Rothe, Co-Presidents) presented the 2018 Theatre Women Awards at The TimesCenter, hosted by Florencia Lozano. The League of Professional Theatre Women's annual Theatre Women Awards are the only awards dedicated to honoring the theatrical work of women and their contributions to the field, across all disciplines. Actress Phylicia Rashadwas the recipient of the LPTW's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award; playwright Rohina Malik received the Lee Reynolds Award; director Emily Joy Weiner the Josephine Abady Award; Colt Coeur artistic director Adrienne Campbell-Holt the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award; drama critic Linda Winer received the LPTW Special Award; and sound designer Cricket S. Myers the Ruth Morley Award.

Performances began December 1, 2017 for a limited engagement through Friday, December 22, 2017.
