Dallas Opera Hosting National Anthem Competition

Just in time for the 200th Anniversary of 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' The Dallas Opera is thrilled to announce a brand-new competition designed to encourage the inner opera diva - or divo - in you! The 'Oh, Say, Can You Sing?' National Anthem Competition offers men, women and children the opportunity to compete - via YouTube submissions - for the unique chance to bring down the house at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Lyric Opera's New Production of THE BARBER OF SEVILLE Opens Tomorrow

Lyric Opera of Chicago presents a brand-new production of Gioachino Rossini's crowning comedic glory, The Barber of Seville, conceived by the Tony Award-winning director Rob Ashford in both his Lyric and operatic debut. There will be 10 total performances: February 1, 3, 15, 18, 21, and 25 at 7:30pm and February 6, 9, 12, and 28 at 2:00pm.

Classic LOONEY TUNES Return to Boomerang Network Today

The greatest franchise in theatrical animated shorts is returning to Boomerang this October, having last appeared on the 24-hour classic animation network in May 2007. Warner Bros. immortal LOONEY TUNES-featuring legendary icons Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote and others-will begin airing as a one-hour block on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. (ET) starting today, Oct. 5.

Warner Bros. presents the world premiere of Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II at the Hollywood Bowl beginning tonight, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 PM featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by Emmy Award-winning creator and conductor George Daugherty. The National Symphony Orchestra Announces its 2013 Wolf Trap Summer Schedule

The National Symphony Orchestra today announced its 2013 line-up of performances at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Eleven performances will take place between June 26 and August 3, 2013. Emil de Cou, in his ninth season as NSO@Wolf Trap Festival Conductor, hosts 10 of the performances and conducts four, including the opening and closing performances in the series.

Dallas Opera's 4/13 TURANDOT Cowboys Stadium Simulcast Draws 20,000 Ticket Requests

The Dallas Opera, in partnership with Cowboys Stadium and with support from The Dallas Foundation, is delighted to report that more than 20,000 tickets have been requested for the free April 13th Dallas Opera Cowboys Stadium Simulcast in Arlington, TX. Of that number, over 40 percent of the households have no previous purchase history or simulcast history with the Dallas Opera; while more than half of the tickets were requested by households that either attended or requested tickets for the initial simulcast last April.

The Dallas Opera, in partnership with Cowboys Stadium and with support from The Dallas Foundation, is extremely proud to announce the second classical music simulcast conducted in a North Texas sports venue. The announcement was made this afternoon at a gathering of representatives of several prominent organizations and local media at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Participants included Dallas Opera General Director and CEO Keith Cerny; Gene Jones; Charlotte Jones Anderson, Executive Vice-President Brand Management/President of Charities; Dallas Foundations President Mary Jalonick; and Nicole Small, CEO of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

OC's Men Alive Chorus presents POP GOES THE OPERA, March 30 - 31

Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men's Chorus continues its successful 11th Season with POP GOES THE OPERA, a high-concept concert experience that blends two musical styles--Classic Opera and Contemporary Pop music--on the same stage. The concert event opens Friday, March 30 at the Irvine Barclay Theatre with two additional shows on Saturday, March 31. The genre mash-up includes selections from Lady Gaga, Verdi, Madonna, Puccini, Annie Lennox, plus a full, live-action re-enactment of the Warner Bros. cartoon classic 'What's Opera, Doc?'

New Looney Tunes Cartoon DAFFY'S RHAPSODY to Debut in Theaters 2/10

Moviegoers seeing the 3D family adventure 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' are in for a bonus reel of laughs and action with DAFFY'S RHAPSODY. The original Looney Tunes cartoon short makes its theatrical debut in tandem with the feature film release from New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures, opening nationwide Friday, February 10th.
