Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced new trustees and an updated list of officers for its board of directors.

To celebrate the new cast beginning performances at the Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical has released all new production photos.

Ellen Richard announced that she has resigned her position as Executive Producing Director of the Laguna Playhouse. 

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE opens its 2022-2023 season with the Orange County premiere of the hilarious KIM'S CONVENIENCE, written by Ins Choi and directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE concludes its historic 100th anniversary season with the dazzling and magical musical, XANADU, book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, musical direction by Ricky Pope and directed & choreographed by Paula Hammons Sloan.  

Playhouse has raised over $25,000 to donate to Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen. The Playhouse started collecting the donations following the performances of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, “What A Fool Believes - Tribute to The Doobie Brothers” and its most recent production of A Chorus Line.

Laguna Playhouse has announced its third production of its 100th anniversary season, Artists Lounge Live presents FIRST LADY OF SONG: ALEXIS J ROSTON SINGS ELLA FITZGERALD, written by Angela Ingersoll (End of the Rainbow), musical direction by William Kurk, and starring Alexis J Roston.

The Laguna Playhouse has received a $50,000 grant through the Orange County District 5 “Arts Related Small Business and Nonprofit Grant Relief Program.” Supervisor Lisa Bartlett has chosen the Laguna Playhouse as a grant recipient due to her personal dedication to preserving the arts in Orange County, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Laguna Playhouse has announced its first production of the new year, the touching and tender musical, THE SPITFIRE GRILL, music and book by James Valcq, lyrics and book by Fred Alley, based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, musical direction by Glen Rovinelli and directed by Steve Steiner.

Laguna Playhouse has received support from the Bank of America for the Our Stories program for the second consecutive year.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE will welcome you back to see Denny and the Dreamers perform all your favorite songs from the ‘50s and ‘60s in SH-BOOM!  LIFE COULD BE A DREAM, written and created by Roger Bean, musical direction by Nick Guerrero with direction & choreography by Jonathan Van Dyke.  

Theatre Communications Group has announced new trustees and an updated list of officers for its board of directors. Members of TCG’s board serve up to three two-year terms. Board officers serve terms of one-year, renewable, and concurrent with the fiscal year of July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.
