The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 60th season will begin on June 8th with Matthew Barber's Enchanted April, a 2003 Tony Award nominee for Best Play. Based on Elizabeth Von Arnim's novel of the same name, it is the perfect show to launch STNJ's re-opening as the company emerges from the pandemic shutdown.

The story of Enchanted April has arrived at the perfect time where we are longing for an escape from the darkness that has engulfed us for too long.

These words, spoken in the opening scene of Enchanted April (by Matthew Barber and based on the novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim), resonate with far too many of us as we attempt to return to normalcy in the midst of a global pandemic.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) announces its 60th season lineup — a selection of plays in celebration of STNJ’s Diamond Anniversary. For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the company will return with five shows scheduled for its Main Stage at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison, and one summer production on the Outdoor Stage - the Greek amphitheater on the campus of Saint Elizabeth University in Florham Park.

The Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM) announced its 2020 season today, which marks the organization's 60th year of producing theatre.

Feeling lost in the shadows of marriage and post-WWI society, two unhappy London housewives decide to rent a villa in Italy for a ladies-only holiday away, reluctantly recruiting a pair of difficult upper-class women to share the cost and the experience.  There, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, the four women clash-and then begin to bond and bloom-rediscovering themselves in ways that they-and we-could never have expected.
