New Century Players Community Theatre presents ENCHANTED APRIL (Staged Reading), by Matthew Barber, from the novel by Elizabeth von Arnim.
When two frustrated London housewives decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak marriages, they recruit two very different English women to share the cost and the experience. There, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, all four bloom again-rediscovering themselves in ways that they could never have expected.
The performance is directed by Elisabeth Goebel. Performances are April 13 and 14 at 7:30 PM, and April 15 at 2 PM, at Rose Villa Performing Arts Center, 13505 SE River Road, Portland, OR 97222.
