Cape Rep Theatre announces the final addition to the 2009 Indoor Theatre Season. A Class Act, the Broadway musical features music and lyrics by Edward Kleban and book by Linda Kline and Lonny Price. A Class Act will open September 17 and run for 5 weeks through October 18. Performances will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm with Sunday matinees at 2pm. Village Players Performing Arts Center announces the hiring of new Artistic Director, Dan Taube, a long-time Chicago theater veteran. Taube is a graduate of the Acting program at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and also holds a MFA in Directing from The Theatre School of DePaul University.

Beth Falcone and Kait Kerrigan have received the 19th Annual Kleban Award. In honor of Edward Kleban, this award is given annually to both a librettist and a lyricist. The award is in the amount of $100,000 to each recipient.
