All around the world artists and arts organizations have suddenly found themselves facing unprecedented circumstances. All large gatherings and live performances have been put on pause for the foreseeable future as we attempt to end this pandemic. This global health emergency has left many artists without a source of income, and unsure of when the strict social distancing and self-isolation rules will be lifted to allow for performances and gatherings to resume.

Concord Announces Executive Promotions In Concord Theatricals

Sean Patrick Flahaven, who became President of Concord Theatricals upon its formation in December 2018, has been promoted to Chief Theatricals Executive for Concord. He will now report to the company's CEO, Scott Pascucci.

Theater suffered a huge loss this week when the playwright Terrence McNally died at 81, of complications of our current plague, the coronavirus. It was a sad irony since many of McNally's plays dealt with the effects of a previous plague, AIDS, in the 1980s.

Leah Ryan's FEWW Celebrates Ten Years Of The Leah Ryan Prize At Cherry Lane Theatre

Leah Ryan's Fund For Emerging Women Writers celebrates ten years of awarding it's prize to women playwrights with 10 X 10: An Evening of 10 Minute Plays Celebrating Ten Years of Winners. The gala event will take place at Cherry Lane Theatre on March 30 and will feature world premiere short plays from past recipients Megan Mostyn Brown, Genia Femia, Jiehae Park, and Eliana Pipes. A pre-show cocktail reception begins at 6:00pm, followed by the main performance at 7:00pm and an afterparty at Cowgirl. The evening will be under the direction of Daniella Topol.
