Tony nominee and two-time Pulitzer finalist Jon Robin Baitz's “I'll Be Seein' Ya” will have its world premiere March 31 on CTG's Digital Stage.

Casting has been announced for “Blues for an Alabama Sky” directed by Center Theatre Group's Associate Artist Phylicia Rashad at the Mark Taper Forum April 6 through May 8, 2022. Set in 1930's Harlem, this revival of Pearl Cleage's rich and beautiful work opens April 13, 2022.

The world premiere of “Alma” opens Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre and continues through April 3, 2022. Written by up-and-coming playwright Benjamin Benne and directed by Juliette Carrillo, this new work will reopen the Douglas after more than two years. Produced in cooperation with American Blues Theater, the cast of “Alma” features Sabrina Fest as daughter Angel and Cheryl Umaña as mother Alma.

Written by Stefano Massini, adapted by Olivier Award-nominated Ben Power and directed by multiple Olivier Award, Academy Award and Tony Award winner Sam Mendes, “The Lehman Trilogy,” comes to Los Angeles direct from a celebrated run on Broadway and follows sold-out runs at London's National Theatre, the Park Avenue Armory, and in London's West End.

Center Theatre Group has launched the CTG Leadership Circle, a program intended to uplift, celebrate and support early- and mid- career staff members at Los Angeles’ largest theatre company. The focus of CTG Leadership Circle is on employees who identify as BIPOC, as well as individuals from intersectional and marginalized identities.

Playwright Jeremy O. Harris' has announced that his Tony-nominated hit Slave Play will once again arrive on the west coast next year as a part of Center Theatre Group's new season.

Playwright Jeremy O. Harris' Tony-nominated Slave Play was set to arrive on the west coast next year as a part of Center Theatre Group's new season; however, the show may not run as planned. Harris writes in a tweet today that he is withdrawing the play from the season to make room for works from young, female playwrights.

Full casting and creative teams were announced today for the Broadway productions of Is This A Room, conceived and directed by Obie Award winner Tina Satter; and Dana H., by Obie Award winner Lucas Hnath and directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters, playing Broadway's Lyceum Theatre on a rotating schedule this fall.

 On Saturday, May 1 at 8 p.m., Center Theatre Group will dim its lights in honor of longtime Center Theatre Group board member and philanthropist Anne Douglas who passed away on April 29, 2021.

Artistic Director Michael Ritchie announced Center Theatre Group’s 54th season at the Ahmanson Theatre will begin in August 24, 2021, four months later than it was formerly scheduled. The season features the previously announced “The Lehman Trilogy,” “The Prom,” “Hadestown” and “Dear Evan Hansen” plus “1776” which was previously announced for the 2019 – 2020 season.

Casting is announced for the multicamera, virtually produced reading of Luis Alfaro's 'Electricidad,' the first play in 'The Greek Trilogy of Luis Alfaro' which is presented as part of the Live from the KDT series on Center Theatre Group's Digital Stage in partnership with The Getty.

Center Theatre Group is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Dorothy and Richard E. Sherwood Award. The deadline to submit an application is June 17, 2020, at noon.

a?oeThe Book of Mormon,a?? winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins February 18 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and plays a limited six-week engagement through March 29, 2020. In Los Angeles, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece.
