The Gracie Theatre's 11th season is upon us.

Oscar winner Ariana DeBose has been tapped to star in Prime Video's new psychological thriller House of Spoils. DeBose will play a chef who is tasked with fighting off the powerful spirit inside her new restaurant. Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy will write and direct the new film, which is based off of their original idea.

The 92nd Street Y, New York Harkness Dance Center's 2022/23 Mainstage Series opens on Thursday, September 22 with UNA Productions, and the New York City premiere of Grass is Green, an evening-length work for seven dancers and drag queen/live cellist/live pianist Rose Nylons, choreographed by Chuck Wilt in collaboration with the performers.

Center Theatre Group will present the Los Angeles premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “OKLAHOMA!” directed by Daniel Fish at the Ahmanson Theatre from September 13 through October 16, 2022.

Single tickets for the North Charleston POPS! 2022-2023 season shows will go on sale Monday, August 22 at 10 AM. The season features something for everyone. The shows are: LAKISHA JONES: QUEENS OF ROCK & SOUL on Saturday, September 24; STAR SPANGLED EVENING! on Saturday, November 12; DANCE PARTY! on Saturday, January 28; MAESTRO FAVORITES on Saturday, March 25; and SUPER HEROES! on Saturday, April 29.

World-renowned guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli has been hailed for reinvigorating the Great American Songbook and re-popularizing jazz. Over the years, he expanded his repertoire to include songs by Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Antônio Carlos Jobim and The Beatles. His interest in Frank Sinatra led him to dedicate two albums to the legendary vocalist: “Dear Mr. Sinatra” and “Sinatra & Jobim @ 50.” 

A brand-new drag party show (…with balls!) is coming to the West End this autumn.  Presented by The Entertainment Providers, Drag Divas is London’s newest, sparkliest party!  This one-of-a-kind show will entertain and delight at Rialto Casino’s Backstage Bar, Leicester Square for a strictly limited season from 6th October to 30th October 2022.

The Lexington Theatre Company brings Broadway and Rising Stars to the stage.  Chicago will be led by Kristin Yancy (The Cher Show, Summer:  The Donna Summer Musical) as Roxie, Lexington's own Haley Fish (Kiss Me Kate, Hello Dolly, Cats, The Music Man) as Velma, and J. Daughtry (Ain't Too Proud, The Color Purple, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Billy Flynn. 

Weightless will play a limited engagement from September 17–October 16, 2022 at WP Theater, with support from piece by piece productions. The off-Broadway stage premiere of this soaring and dynamic indie rock musical follows the smash success of Weightless on screen, which was reconceived for film and live-streamed by WP in a limited run in 2021.

 Jacob Stuckelman announced that Award Winning Playwright Ken Urban will receive an industry reading of his new full-length play Danger and Opportunity directed by Jack Serio (This Beautiful Future) on Thursday, August 4th at TheaterLab (357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor). 

Based on real life events, it's a coming out story that needs to be expanded to be able to feel the full emotional weight.
