As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

Jenna gives a rundown of where she's been and who she's seen in the world of cabaret in the past week. The past week's events include the Bistro Awards at Gotham Comedy Club and a fabulous Cast Party at Birdland!

Back Stage Magazine has announced the winners of its Back Stage Bistro Awards which honor excellence in the world of cabaret. The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at the Gotham Comedy Club.

Suzanne Carrico, the 2008 MAC Award Winner for 'Outstanding Debut,' will return to the Metropolitan Room with The Friendliest Thing, in January (7th, 23rd & 24th) & February (12th). The show, directed by Mary Cleere Haran, with Musical Direction by Tedd Firth, features special guest Don Rebic on piano & Saddi Zain on bass. The Friendliest Thing, an evening of provocative music from The Great American Songbook of the past & present, is devoted to matters of a most 'intimate' nature.

The world premiere of her new show 'Mad For Manhattan' will celebrate Mary's adopted city through songs from the Golden Age of Broadway and Hollywood. All shows are at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Andrea McArdle headlines for two weeks beginning August 13 and superstars Barb Jungr and Marilyn Maye return the first week of September in overlapping two-week stints as The Metropolitan Room (currently rated Best Cabaret by New York Magazine) brings the summer to an exciting crescendo!
