Multiple Grammy® Award-winning jazz pianist and world-renowned singer, Diana Krall, returns to the U.S in September. The 7-stop tour begins on the 12th at the Chateau St. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA and runs through the end of September, wrapping up in Indio, CA on Sept. 28th. The York Theatre Company welcomed specials guests Richard Maltby, Jr., Edward Hibbert, Bill Condon, original cast member and choreographer Dan Siretta, and member from the London John Barry Foundation to a recent performance of the 25th Anniversary Musicals in Mufti presentation of the NY premiere of Lolita, My Love, with music by John Barry and book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, as edited by Erik Haagensen. Directed by Emily Maltby and with music direction by Deniz Cordell, the 13-member cast features George Abud (The Band's Visit)as Clare Quilty, Caitlin Cohn (The Secret Garden) as Dolores "Lolita" Haze, Robert Sella (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) as Humbert Humbert, Thursday Farrar (Aida) as Dr. June Ray, and Jessica Tyler Wright (Sweeney Todd) as Charlotte Haze, with Becca Fox (Singin' in the Rain), Hanako Greensmith (Spring Awakening), Victoria Huston-Elem (Finding Neverland), Jay Aubrey Jones (Assassins), Kennedy Kanagawa (Into the Woods), Max Meyers (Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), Mark Montague (A Very Brady Musical), and Analise Scarpaci (Matilda, The Musical).
Utah Opera Announces 2019-20 Season

Artistic Director Christopher McBeth today announced the programming, initial casting, and creative teams for Utah Opera's 2019-20 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Dor Eccles Foundation. In its upcoming season, Utah Opera produces four operas at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre: Verdi's La traviata in October 2019, Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell's Silent Night in January 2020, Rossini's The Barber of Seville in March 2020, and Massenet's Tha s in May 2020. Both Silent Night and Tha s are company premieres. Season subscriptions are on sale now by calling (801) 533-6683 or visiting utahopera.org. The revelry begins at 6:00 p.m. Dressing the part is encouraged, but not required.

Ballet West and BYUtv are thrilled to announce they will broadcast Willam Christensen's The Nutcracker in fall/winter of 2019 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of this iconic production, America's first Nutcracker. Supplemental footage during the production will honor this landmark occasion with historical film and interviews from those who know the Christensen legacy on dance in America. Filming was made possible, in part, through the generosity of the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, which awarded $100,000 to the project.

Music Director Thierry Fischer and President & CEO Paul Meecham today announced the Utah Symphony's 2019-20 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Dor Eccles Foundation, with highlights including multi-media concert experiences featuring the twelve movements from Olivier Messiaen's Des canyons aux toiles ( From the canyons to the stars ), a celebration of Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020 and a gala concert featuring violin virtuoso Joshua Bell to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Utah Symphony's first-ever performance, which took place on May 8, 1940. American composer Andrew Norman returns to present three of his orchestral works and work with young musicians in Utah for his second year as Composer-in-Association, and during fall 2020, the Utah Symphony pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage with Disney's Coco in concert and several programs featuring music by Latin-American composers led by Carlos Miguel Prieto.
