Award-winning vocalist Susan Mack returns to Birdland Jazz Club with her new show 'Tis Autumn for one night only, Monday, October 13 at 7 p.m., joined by Tedd Firth, David Finck, Eric Halvorson, and Geoff Burke.

The Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band will bring West Side Story Reimagined to McCarter Theatre on October 4, 2025. The concert blends Bernstein’s classic score with Afro-Caribbean jazz and will feature a photo installation by Seis del Sur, followed by a post-show talk with Jamie Bernstein.

Renowned international music conservatory Manhattan School of Music has announced that acclaimed composer, conductor, and saxophonist Jim Saltzman has been appointed Dean of the School's prestigious Jazz Arts division, effective July 1, 2025.

South Jersey Jazz Society (SJJS) recently announced that its annual jazz festival, Jazz@ThePoint, will take place from Oct. 16 to 18 in Somers Point. Titled “Jersey Fresh,” the three-day festival will highlight headlining artists that either were born in or currently reside in New Jersey.

The tightly produced, crisply presented piece directed by Schoolhouse Producing Director Bram Lewis stars Wali Jamal in a thoroughly engaging and formidable performance that also profiles Mr. Armstrong’s lifelong manager Mr. Joe Glaser and another deity straight from the Mount Olympus of jazz, Mr. Miles Davis. Mr. Jamal skillfully presents the three as distinct personalities without overdoing it. He represents them rather than impersonates them, which is a wise choice because there only is one sun in this universe and it is the one and only Satchmo.
