Le Roi Lion, le musical iconique de Disney fait son retour à Paris en 2020, une date qui coïncide avec le quinzième anniversaire de Stage Entertainment en France.

De repetities voor de musical Disney's ALADDIN van Stage Entertainment zijn van start gegaan. De komende weken repeteren de cast en creatives onder leiding van het creatieve team van Disney Theatrical Productions om de Broadway musical vol humor, kleurrijke kostuums en special effects voor het publiek te brengen. Het verhaal over de charmante straatdief Aladdin en prinses Jasmine is vanaf 18 september te zien in het AFAS Circustheater in Scheveningen.

Nardia Ruth will join the production as Nefertari from Friday 17 September 2021. Nardia is a 2021 graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and a Disney Theatrical Productions Scholar and an Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award recipient. The role of Nefertari in The Prince of Egypt will mark Nardia’s professional and West End debut. 

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, and Playhouse Square have announced casting for The Lion King North American tour, which will return to the road this fall and resume performances in Cleveland. The two-week return engagement at Playhouse Square will begin Friday, October 1, 2021.

The Music of Disney on Broadway: A Live Concert at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre, celebrating the reopening of Shea’s Buffalo Theatre will treat audiences to the most-beloved hit songs from Disney’s Broadway shows – including “Beauty and the Beast,” “A Whole New World,” “Circle of Life” and “Let it Go”.

Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles has announced that Broadway will return to the Eccles Theater, 2 days earlier. Due to recent scheduling shifts, Disney’s Frozen will begin performances in downtown Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to launch the beginning of the shows presented by Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles.

Due to an overwhelming response, Rockefeller Productions is opening a new block of weekend tickets for the highly anticipated Disney Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation.

The Olivier award-winning production of Disney's Mary Poppins will resume performances at the Prince Edward Theatre from 7 August 2021. The show's leads, Zizi Strallen and Charlie Stemp had their first photo shoot in costume this week!

This comes after several other West End productions have had to be put on pause, including Hairspray which has halted performances, The Prince of Egypt, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella.

Frozen opens at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 8 September 2021, with previews from 27 August, and is now booking until 3 April 2022. Learn more about the production here!

Joining the previously announced Zizi Strallen as Mary Poppins and Charlie Stemp as Bert are Charlie Anson as George Banks, Amy Griffiths as Winifred Banks, Petula Clark as Bird Woman, Liz Robertson as Miss Andrew, Claire Machin as Mrs Brill, Jack North as Robertson Ay and Paul F. Monaghan as Admiral Boom and Bank Chairman.

The Groner Group, a marketing and strategic consulting firm announced today that it is changing its name to “MICHELE GRONER x BRAND NEXUS”. The name change reflects the company’s evolution over the last several years, both in terms of the clients they serve and the changing needs of their existing client base. Along with this name change, a new website and logo have been revealed at brand-nexus.com.

Located in the historic Carriage Hall on Floral Street, this is the third time that Disney Theatrical Productions, working with Covent Garden, will create a unique space that is a celebration of the very best of Disney in the West End, across the UK and on Broadway.

As Black Theatre United (BTU) marks its first year since the organization’s creation, the Founding Members have just announced they held a three-month Commercial Theatre Summit from March to June 2021 to establish industry- wide standards around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility & Belonging (EDIAB) with a focus on Black individuals in theatre as we move into the future.

Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that Broadway will come to the Hennepin Theatre District one week early. Due to recent scheduling shifts, Disney’s Frozen will begin performances in downtown Minneapolis on Thursday, Sept. 30 to launch the 2021-2022 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season.
