MTV announced that new docu-series THIS IS HOW I MADE IT will premiere today, October 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT featuring 2 Chainz and Ashley Rickards from MTV's AWKWARD. The new weekly half-hour, 12 episode series will highlight two people per episode who have made it in their respective fields, chronicling the road they traveled in order to make their dreams come true.
October 30th will see the release of ROADS, the highly anticipated debut album from classical crossover artist CHRIS MANN. ROADS arrives via Faircraft/Universal Republic, a new imprint headed up by multi-platinum producer and veteran A&R executive Ron Fair (Mary J. Blige, the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, The Pussycat Dolls, Il Volo, Christina Aguilera), who also served as the album's executive producer.
During each episode, the stakes are raised as the acts must perform not only for their judge but also for each category's superstar guest mentor, including Marc Anthony (who will join Simon Cowell); Justin Bieber and talent manager Scooter Braun (who will accompany L.A. Reid); Nick Jonas (who will pair with Demi Lovato); and will.i.am (who will guest-mentor with Britney Spears).
This week on Week Four of THE X FACTOR, the first round of contestants to make it into the competition for the $5 million recording contract were let go at boot camp - and, on GLEE, romantic walking papers were issued willy-nilly as four long-standing relationships between central characters came to a conclusion (at least for now).
The much talked about, anticipated, and perhaps dreaded episode has arrived - no, not Glee's tribute to RuPaul's Drag Race - that comes later this season, but the 'infamous' Break-Up episode. Break out the tissues, Gleeks - it's going to be a tearjerker.
Marley and Jake bond over free lunch tickets, while Brittany and Blaine recall the early days of their relationships when things were that simple. Santana visits home with some dirty laundry and time for her girl, Brittany, but finds herself worried about Brittany's crowd being pretty religious and intense. Blaine begins to doubt his place in his boyfriend's life even more, while Finn attempts to figure out where he stands after being semi-honorably discharged from the Army and trying to figure out where he stands with Rachel. Blaine and Finn put their feelings into Duncan Shriek's "Barely Breathing" as Blaine's eye begins to wander elsewhere and Finn tries to find his place in the world and in Rachel's new world.
Blaine surprises Kurt by visiting early and the newly reunited group of Finn, Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine hit Callbacks, a well known NYADA pit stop bar where Rachel and Brody duet on "Give Your Heart a Break" by Demi Lovato, while Finn feels his heart begin to break itself. Blaine takes to the microphone next with a very emotional version of 'Teenage Dream' which sends Kurt's worrisome mind into overdrive.
