Chicago Shakespeare Theater has announced that Jaye Ladymore has joined the company for the world premiere production of It Came From Outer Space, a new musical comedy based on the ‘50s cult classic sci-fi film from Universal Pictures.

A co-production with Milwaukee Repertory Theater on the Coca-Cola Stage until February 27, 2022, Alliance Theatre shares that TONI STONE is considered 'the 'Best New Play of 2019' by The Wall Street Journal,' and 'is a funny and fascinating story of race, gender, and raw ambition… and an unheralded superstar you’ll never forget.' 

After a delayed opening, Toni Stone is finally game-on at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden, it's the biographical telling of the first woman to go pro in baseball's negro leagues, Marcenia 'Toni' Stone. Hers is a story of overcoming the odds and shattering expectations. Toni Stone, written by Lydia R. Diamond, was declared the Best New Play of 2019 by the Wall Street Journal.

Milwaukee Rep has announced the complete cast and creative teams for the start of 2022 with Toni Stone in the Quadracci Powerhouse January 4 – 30 and Piano Men in the Stackner Cabaret January 7 – February 27.

Feinstein's/54 Below has announced that Sarah Anne Fernandez will be joined by special guests Jackie Burns (Wicked, HAIR, If/Then) & Frankie Gonzalez (The Fantasticks, Superhero) in her upcoming concert Now What? on Sunday, December 12th at 9:45 PM.

Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced today that Dell Howlett will direct a reading of Lydia R. Diamond's 'Stick Fly' on Saturday, August 1st at 2 PM ET as part of 'Stars In The House's' 'Plays In The House' series.

Out of an abundance of caution and to follow DC Health's recommendations, Ford's Theatre Society is altering its programming schedule through April 4. Ford's Theatre Society announced full casting and design team for Guys and Dolls, directed by Peter Flynn. The production features Maria Egler as Miss Adelaide, Joe Mallon as Nathan Detroit, Bueka Uwemedimo as Sky Masterson and Karen Vincent as Sarah Brown. The musical features showstoppers 'Luck be a Lady,' 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat,' 'Take Back Your Mink' and more, and plays March 13 to May 20, 2020, at historic Ford's Theatre. The production is recommended for ages 10 and older.

With a youthful, multi-racial cast of 30, the Guthrie's current production of GUYS AND DOLLS bolsters its reputation as a theater that can mount classics with flair, fidelity, and design excellence. The lyrics crackle, as ever, the singing soars, the casting features multiple body types and skin tones, and the design pops.

Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault today announced the upcoming 2019-2020 theatrical season will include August Wilson's Fences, directed by Timothy Douglas and starring Craig Wallace and Erika Rose; Silent Sky, an inspiring drama about trail-blazing female astronomers, directed by Seema Sueko; the classic musical comedy Guys and Dolls, directed by Peter Flynn; and A Christmas Carol featuring Craig Wallace reprising the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.
