The Cape Playhouse very proudly presents, South Pacific, the award winning Broadway musical. Starring Becky Gulsvig, Mike McGowan, Tim Rogan, Shea Renne, Michael Thomas Holmes, and Yvonne Strumecki; and directed by Michael Rader. Singing songs influenced by life's ups-and-downs, Dean explores the milestone moments that shaped who he is and have left lasting impressions. Here and Now wittily and earnestly highlights the difficulty of finding who you are in the face of adversity while also celebrating the freedom and victory that comes from rising above. Dean is ecstatic to bring you on his journey from three-year-old boy skipping around the house dressed as Dorothy to starving artist living his dream in the big city.

New York Innovative Theater Award Nominee Christian De Gr (Fatty Fatty No Friends) returns to FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, with the second chapter of his dark and twisted, macabre and hilarious song cycle about the trials and wonders of death.

Tony Award Winner John Rubinstein will star in an AEA staged reading of the new musical The Sycamore Street Kite Flying Club, with a score by veteran theater composer and conductor, Roy M. Rogosin, and a libretto by Juliana Jones, which will be presented at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater on Thursday, January 25th at 7pm. Eric Paul Vitale will direct with musical direction by Stephen Purdy.

'Ah, what fools these mortals be!' An annual tradition at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville takes a twist this fall with the Roxy Regional Theatre's production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: The Musical, opening Friday, November 3, at 8:00pm.

'Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!'  Just click your heels together and travel over the rainbow this weekend as Clarksville's oldest professional theatre enters Season 35 of live entertainment on the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville. 

Being an enthusiast of old movies, I saw Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 film version of Fredrick Knott's Dial M for Murder long before I attended the stage incarnation. I have to say that I actually grew bored with film; the 'thriller' seemed very slow to me. Thankfully, the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts' (SCPA) production, running through March 30th, put a better spin on this riveting story... and went at a better pace.

Seeing a show like Rodgers and Hammersteins' "The Sound Of Music" is nothing short of fulfilling. Director Danny Gorman and Musical Director Cara Brown of the Smithtown Performing Arts Center have splendidly put together an amazing cast to present this timeless, relevant story based on the memoirs of Maria Augusta Trapp.
