Background:

Launched in November 2012, ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com is the largest online database of contemporary musical theatre writers and songs. The site represents over 180 writers and almost 600 songs, searchable by voice and song type, with detailed descriptions of each piece and the ability to purchase and download the scores on site. An online subscription site, the company give writers 100% of the sale price of their songs - the only publisher to do so. The website tripled its sales for writers in 2017 alone, providing subscribers with unparalleled access to great new songs.

The site celebrated its launch in January 2013, with a concert at Second Stage Theatre hosted by Seth Rudetsky. Since then, CMT.com has produced concerts at 54 Below (Binders Full of Women's Songs), developed masterclasses and workshops in connection with City Center Off Center, Lucy Moses School, Marymount Manhattan College, NYU Steinhardt, Ryder College, and Den Danske Scenekunstskole.

The company is run by David Sisco (Founder & President) and Laura Josepher (VP of Business Development). David is a voice teacher, musical director, and active composer, who teachers masterclasses and workshops on performing contemporary musical theatre and art song around the country and internationally. Laura is an active director and audition coach whose credits include Off-Broadway and regional plays and musicals, including several new works. Together, they wrote "Mastering College Musical Theatre Auditions: Sound Advice for the Student, Teacher, and Parent," now available on Amazon.
